On January 19-20, 2012, the Growth Dialogue co-hosted (along with the OECD and the World Bank) the Symposium on the New Geography of Innovation and the Impact of the Economic Crisis in Paris, France. The symposium gathered a group of prominent experts and policy makers who deliberated on various aspects of innovation policy and its link to economic growth, reviewed country experiences, and converged on a few key lessons for the global economy and for countries that are critical for continued globalization. The presentations and ideas from the Symposium were collected in two Policy Briefs published by the Growth Dialogue, Policy Brief Number 6 (The Rise of the BICs) and Policy Brief Number 8 (The Changing Landscape of Innovation).
