This panel was organized by the Growth Dialogue at the George Washington School of Business and by the Institute for International Economic Policy at GW’s Elliott School of International Affairs.
The aim of the high-level ministerial panel was to provide fresh impetus to the push for Women’s Economic Empowerment, bringing together thought leaders and policy practitioners in a frank discussion of what more can be done in the context of effective and inclusive development strategies. The panel focused on concrete ways to remove constraints to women’s economic activity, enabling them to increase incomes and status, while at the same time contributing to more equitable economic growth.
