Harnessing Emerging Technologies and Financial Innovation for Inclusive Growth

In an era of rapid technological advancement and heightened global uncertainty, George Washington University convened a high-level conference bringing together Central Bank Governors, private sector CEOs, digital technology leaders, and academics to discuss the challenges facing the continent as well as the policies and initiatives that can help transform African financial systems. The conference delved into emerging technologies, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and climate finance and the innovative solutions that African banks can further develop to help drive sustainable and inclusive economic growth. The conference also focused on the opportunities for advanced economies to enhance trade and investment in the region for mutual benefit by bringing together policymakers and practitioners sharing the common goal of advancing Africa’s progress. Professor Danny Leipziger was in charge of the “Conversation with Central Bank Governors”
