On October 9, 2014, the Growth Dialogue co-sponsored (along with World Bank Africa Region) the event Africa: Sharing Economic Growth Broadly: New Challenges for the Continent at the World Bank Annual Meetings in Washington, DC. The event, moderated by Danny Leipziger, focused on avenues African policymakers can pursue to increase the benefits of economic growth for broad segments of their societies. It featured Ministers Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala of Nigeria and Nhlanhla Nene of South Africa and Governor Benno Ndulu of Tanzania.
