On May 5-7, 2015, The Growth Dialogue held a Global Roundtable on Shared and Sustainable Economic Growth in Bellagio, Italy to take stock of the global economy challenges. This second Bellagio Growth Conference was chaired by Nobel laureate Michael Spence. The group of policymakers and experts that met in Bellagio brought together insightful minds from the world of academia, the private sector, government, think tanks, and global institutions. They provided an independent assessment of global economic conditions and identified areas in which the Growth Dialogued hoped to stimulate further thinking for practical policy solutions. A White Paper “Restarting the Global Economy, Harnessing the Forces of Economic Growth” was produced with policy recommendations and identification of areas of action.
